Over-Center Sliding Operator

HOW IT WORKS

The Air-Lec Over-Center Operator is adaptable to almost any type of single panel or bi-parting sliding door.  The operator is installed over the center of a door frame using two beams that control the motion of the door.  The pneumatic piston slides the door along a track from the center point.  Each operator can be adjusted for up to 180° swinging range.

WHERE IT WORKS

  • A sliding door operator which is widely used in both trained traffic and fire door applications

  • Available for sliding doors up to 6 feet wide with a maximum weight of 1,200 lbs and bi-parting doors for openings up to 12 feet wide

INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS

Air-Lec staff recommend the mechanical contractor provide an air-line of not less than one-half inch pipe and a minimum of 0.30 cubic feet of free air per cycle and 80 psi within five feet of the center of the door opening. A shut-off valve should be installed on the air line to each door opening.

Every door opening requires one door operator per door panel, one control kit and one filter regulator kit. Extra control stations are available where more than two control stations per opening are desired. A dehydrator is recommended when excess moisture is present.
